Our Story
From bare ground on 2026-02-25 to today
This used to be an overgrown empty lot. We photographed all six months of construction — not for show, but so you know that every fishing spot, every light and every stone here was really built.

Day one — bare ground
We had just taken over the land. The weeds stood taller than a person.

The excavator moves in
Three days of digging to cut out the outline of both ponds.

- 2026-03-20
Pond bed and gabions
Stone gabions laid and levelled so the water settles and the banks hold.

- 2026-03-29
Stone embankment done
Laid stone by stone — the edge of the pond finally appears.

Roof beams go up
The steel frame goes up; this is where the kitchen and pavilions would stand.

- 2026-04-22
The structure takes shape
Roof on. Seen from across the water, it starts to look like a fishing pond.

- 2026-05-08
Building finished
Walls, floors, doors and windows done — water and power next.

- 2026-06-24
First light at night
The first night we ran the lights all night, we realised the pond looks better after dark.

- 2026-07-09
The lights come on
Walkway lighting switched on; pavilions and dining room lit.

- 2026-08-21
First fish on the scale
The scale moved to the counter — the first fish weighed and taken home.

- 2026-08-29
The kitchen opens
First whole grilled fish goes out.

- 2026-08-31
Today: rod wall and bar
Rod wall, bar and tables are all in place. All that's missing is you.

Come and see it
The photos cover six months; the pond is alive. Pick an evening and fish a session.
